How can we help?

Quick answers to common questions — and a direct line to a real person if you need more.

Frequently asked questions.

TapShift is built to be self-serve. Here are the answers to the questions we hear most.

How do I use TapShift?

Paste a long URL into the Link Studio on the home page and you'll get a short trackable link (e.g. tshft.io/abc) you can share anywhere. Every tap is tracked. Sign up at /signup to unlock the dashboard and start earning from conversions.

How do affiliate links and conversions work?

Every tap on your short link is recorded in link_events with referrer, device, and geo. When a tap turns into a sale, the conversion is recorded in conversion_events and the commission lands in commissions. UTM params (utm_source=tapship, utm_medium=affiliate, utm_campaign=tapshift-link) are automatically appended on every redirect.

How does billing work?

TapShift self-serve is free to start — generate and share trackable links with no card required. The Stripe payment-link flow on the signup page charges for premium features (Polsia-managed). If you earn commissions as an affiliate, those are paid out through the Stripe-connected commissions table.

What is the TapShift agency tier?

The agency tier is TapShift's multi-workspace plan built for agencies running TapShift on behalf of multiple brands from one agency account. It adds multi-workspace isolation, role-based access (owner, admin, analyst, read-only), white-label reports your clients see as yours, custom link domains, bulk link import, and audit logs on top of everything in Pro. If you only run TapShift for a single brand, the Pro plan is a better fit — the agency tier exists to give agencies operating controls they would otherwise have to build themselves.

How does managed-client attribution work?

Every managed client gets its own agency workspace with isolated links, isolated analytics, and isolated billing — no data leakage between accounts. Taps and conversions inside a managed client's workspace are attributed to that client's tracking only, while your agency account retains a cross-client overview so your team can see roll-up performance across the entire book of business. Server-side attribution means a click can always be traced back to the agency account and the managed client it belongs to, even when resold through sub-ID tagging per creator and per platform.

How do I invite a managed client?

Apply for the agency tier through the form on the /for-agencies page — your details land with our agency team and we confirm within 1 business day with a Calendly link for a 30-minute onboarding call. After onboarding we provision a sandbox workspace so you can pilot before committing, then bring on your managed clients one at a time as their rosters are scoped. Until your first managed client is invited, the agency account lives in a single workspace you can use freely.

Is the agency tier priced differently?

Yes — the agency tier is billed per team at $99/mo with unlimited team members, not per managed client or per seat. That price includes 90-day data retention, team member access with role-based permissions, priority support, and custom link domains on top of everything in Pro. Compare all three tiers side-by-side on the /pricing page, or share your client roster with our agency team if you want a custom quote.
